Old Students Associations: Northern Uganda
LACOBA works alongside the Old Students Associations of other schools across Northern Uganda, coordinating efforts to reawaken academic performance at traditional schools in the Acholi subregion, including joint events like a recent marathon between schools hosted by fellow old students.
Gulu City Leadership
Gulu City Mayor Alfred Okwonga and Gulu City Woman MP Hon. Betty Aol Ocan have both publicly backed LACOBA initiatives, including the marathon and the one-million-tree pledge for the Acholi subregion, and have encouraged old boys to form cooperative and investment clubs as a route out of regional poverty.
